PanzerKompanie vs US Armour in Free for All

Panthers prowl the outside of a desert town

The final game of Perkins Hobby House 1500 MW tournament was against the Dice Devils Joyous_Oblivion. He was playing a US tank company made up of mostly Shermans. The battlefield  was very cluttered with buildings every where.  At least with us both playing tanks it would be equally difficult for either of us to manoeuvre.

RAF Hurricanes rock the Panzers!

Game 1 of the Perkins 1500 MW tournament was Fighting Withdrawal and it pitted me against the Dice Devil's own PhantomRescue.  He was playing Aussie Div Cav and I was playing a PanzerKompanie.  He won the roll to see who the attacker was, so my Panzers were going to be playing defence this mission.

Paths of Glory 2014

Xander's MW Americans (ok this wasn't from the tournament but it's awesome!)

Today Perkins held a MW 1500 tournament for FoW.  It was 3 rounds and a special thanks to Luggs for running the event.  The only hang up was the delayed start time, but that was because of Hydro One and nothing the tournament organizers or Gary could have helped.

I played 3 games which will becoming as battle reports shortly but I wanted to show the armies.  They were fantastic!

Paths of Glory 13

This Sunday Perkins Hobby House held a 1750 MW tournament.  There was roughly 24 players with both the Axis and Allies being well represented.  As always Gary from Perkins had great tables, great food and some great times.  I'm not going to do a battle report for all of the games but I will do some posts on the limited photos I did take.

8th Panzer Regiment, 15th Panzer Division DAK vs Free French Armored Rifles in Encounter

A lone Stuka swoops in for the kill!

This was the final battle for the Paths of Glory and both Matt Varnish and I were coming off two 6 - 1 wins. I love playing against MVs armies they are exceptionally well painted with a ton of thought and research put into them. The final mission was going to be Encounter with me being the attacker. This was going to be the first mission that I was going to be the attacker and although I was rocking a tank force I was more than a little concerned with attacking all those armoured rifles!

8th Panzer Regiment, 15th Panzer Division DAK vs Australian Armored Squadron in Counterattack

The scream of Nebs fills the air knocking out a Sherman!

This was round 2 of the Paths of Glory tournament held at Perkins Hobby House in Petawawa. The mission was Counterattack, and an important note for people playing in tournaments to try out different missions first so that during the tournament your not playing a mission for the first time. Matt and I had never played this mission and we both misread how deployment works for armoured forces in this mission. We ended up finding out after our game was done that I shouldn't have had as many platoons on the table due to the special rules (we looked at the armoured reserve rules instead of the correct ones). I don't know how it would have changed the game, but I'm sure it would have. Matt was great fun to play against and we had a good time goofing while playing.

The 2IC lurking at the edge of town!

This was the first game in Paths of Glory held at Perkins Hobby house. I was lucky to draw against Twinlinked from the Dice Devils GC who I played with when I was in Ottawa. The mission was Hold the line and because we were both playing tanks we rolled off and I ended up being the defender.
